Country Sunsets are Best!

Ahhh, this week has been good for sunset pictures! I'm a bit biased, but I think sunsets in the country are the best ;) Enjoy a few of the sights that caught my attention this week, from life on the farm and the country back roads (mostly taken with my iPhone).

Sunset may just be my favorite time of day. I'm so not a morning person, so I enjoy taking a few minutes in the evening to sky watch.

Countin' Calves...NOT Sheep

Last night I was wide awake, like after 3:30 am type of wide awake. I've been on the puny side this week and went to the doctor for the first time in a looong time. The combinations of medication I am taking, had me playing on Instagram, reading Twitter, browsing Pinterest, playing on Rhonna Designs app (picture above) and using all my lives on Candy Crush as well as reading all about bronchitis and sinus infections and side effects of drugs to treat these ailments till the morning hours.

I flipped and flopped, tossed and turned, starting at 8:00 pm. Somewhere along the way, I started counting calves. Calves, you ask? Not sheep? Well, you see, when I was a wee little girl and couldn't sleep, my dad told me to count calves. We raised cattle, not sheep.

Now you ask what this picture has to do with counting calves? Way back when (I was 3 or 4), my family had cows in the pasture on the right of this dead end lane and my grandparent's herd was on the left. In my childhood imagination, when I counted calves, they were always climbing under the barbed wire fence on the right, crossing this road and then slinking under the fence to go to Granddaddy's place. So now when I have a sleepless night, I still count calves the same way!
I got my medicine changed today and I am feeling better than earlier in the week. So hopefully when the sun goes down tonight, I will be ready to fall asleep. If not, I'll be counting more calves!

There's Somthing about Camo

There's something about camo and this time of year that just go hand in hand. Cooler, fall temperatures, spending more time outdoors, folks in camo, getting ready to go to deer camp, squirrel camp, you name it.
Camo weddings are becoming popular too, so I created this
It is now available in my etsy store and ready to ship.

I will confess, its been years since I've been hunting, but I can shoot a gun. Oh, how good some deer jerky would be this fall! I'll have to wait patiently on a friend to share some deer meat with us.
Girls, just think about how excited your groom will be to see you carrying a camo bouquet!
I've been seeing the camo show up in stores as a fall trend and I did recently buy a camo tank top. Its fun and one of my favorite shirts in my closet right now.
Speaking of trends, I'm usually not into that kind of thing, but are y'all noticing more bronze and gold accents in clothing and jewelry? It seems as of I'm
noticing more of these colors showing up in the buttons on new clothes and such.

For this bridal bouquet, I mixed camo, orange, tan, and chocolate brown burlap roses and ivory lace.

As always, if someone needs coordinating bouquets for bridesmaids or boutonnieres for the men in the wedding party, I will be happy to create a custom order with your specific needs. Please convo me through etsy and I'll be happy to help you.
