Turquoise burlap and lace wedding flowers

Earlier in the summer, I made a set of turquoise burlap boutonnieres for an August wedding. Not long ago, the bride messaged me through my etsy shop and ask if I could please call her.

My first thought was "is something wrong with them," then I remembered her wedding date and thought maybe she needed to order something else. I called her and she was panicked. She had ordered her bouquets from that big website that starts with an A, way back in June and her order was cancelled in August and she wondered if there any possible way I could help her? 

I reassured her that I could get them made in time and not to worry!

We finished up her order and shipped it off to Arizona this week, with a few weeks still to go before her wedding. Her wedding deadline was longer than my current turn around time on orders, so I was able to complete the bouquets, without it even being considered a rush order. This spring has been full of love, life, and wedding planning for many brides-to-be! 

I am happy to help create burlap and lace wedding bouquets and boutonnieres for the many couples planning the big day! Turquoise and navy burlap bouquets have once again been the most popular options, although a few new color combinations have been requested recently. 

Turquoise Burlap Bridal Bouquet

Some brides are choosing to carry a smaller bouquet for themselves - in this case, the bride was carrying the medium size bouquet.

The following arrangements were part of a large custom order. The particular day I was working on them, I had a case of spring fever! I told myself I couldn't go outside and work in the yard till the order was finished, so I was happy to get them photographed before sunset and have a little outside time.

 This was a new color combination! Lavender and hunter green for the bridal bouquet, with all the bridesmaids and boutonnieres with just the green, tan, and white burlap roses.

The bride's attendants are carrying hunter green burlap bouquets, while the bridal bouquet has the addition of lavender roses. 

 Now this order had a LOT of boutonnieres! I've had several customers coming back and ordering extra bouts, because they forgot someone in the wedding party. I created a check list to help you determine who all needs a boutonniere in your wedding, that can be found here.

 Burlap and Cotton...perfect for a rustic country wedding!

 Small wristlet corsages for the flower girls to wear - for the young children, I can use a velcro wrist band that takes up smaller, while adult size wristlets come on a pearl style bracelet / band.

Cake Flowers! Several wedding planners have ask for flowers for the cake. This was a set of assorted turquoise flowers.

This order had maroon and butter yellow cake flowers, boutonnieres, and a toss bouquet. 

This was a 6 inch cake topper - displayed on a little pedestal, since I don't have wedding cake ;)

Lavender burlap and lace bride's bouquet

 This was another new color combination! Charcoal / dark grey, turquoise and white toss bouquet and boutonniere. Several weddings this spring have been elopements and wanted smaller bouquets to slip in the luggage and skip out of town! I've also had several last minute request and rush orders this spring and I always try my best to be accommodating. If you're in a hurry, please don't hesitate to ask!

 I did have a little oops moment and accidentally made the wrong size on one item in - I did catch it before I ever sent pictures to the bride and remade the correct arrangements for her. Although that left me with a bridal and toss bouquet and groom's boutonniere that are  made and ready to ship. I had used up the last of a cut of vintage ivory lace on this set, so I had to start completely over and remake all three pieces for the order. You can find this set in my etsy shop. If you need additional pieces, I can make them with a similar lace.

New, Ready to Ship Rustic Wedding Bouquets

I've been working on several new, ready to ship, rustic bridal bouquets this week. I've added them to my shop this afternoon! 

I had a customer inquire about a turquoise and coral burlap, lace, and brooch bouquet and was inspired to create this one. I have made a similar one, without the coral, but decided since the colors are popular wedding colors and I had some coral brooches and lace on hand, I would make one. 

With fall approaching (can it hurry and cool off,) I am always inspired to create the sunflower and burlap bouquets for fall weddings. This is a variation of my popular sunflower, burlap rose, and pheasant feather bouquet. One of the foliage a in the other bouquet, from a few season back, has been discontinued, so I found a type of wheat grass to make a substitution for the wispy grass. I hope you will like it just as much as the previous version. 

Denim and lace! Denim hydrangea blooms are nestled among creamy burlap roses and assorted lace, doilies, and pearls.

Another sunflower bouquet with tan and brown burlap roses and white lace. Pearls accent the roses and a pearl garland wraps the handle of the bouquet holder. 

Fall is my favorite season and I love all the colors and rich textures of autumn! Sunflowers, burlap roses, dried yarrow and babies breath, feathers, berries, leaves, and vintage ivory lace and pearls create this bouquet. The first picture has it displayed in a mason jar. For your wedding reception, you can display the bouquet on your bridal table in a similar jar or vase.

Sabrina's Beach Wedding

Sabrina had one of my favorite rustic wedding bouquets of the year! We worked together to create something different and unique for her Destin, Florida beach wedding and she recently sent me pictures from her big day. Rhinestone accented black and tan burlap flowers, along with shabby ivory ribbon flowers and cream feathers created the bridal bouquet. 

I ask her to describe her theme or style, since this was something different and she replied she was a black-winged eyeliner, red lipstick, old vintage classy style person. She liked rustic, vintage and went with the burlap theme, since they were getting married on a beach.

Succulents and Burlap Bouquet

Succulents seem to becoming more popular and I'll admit to loving them myself.  You may remember me getting some on the half price sale a few weeks back. Some (most) of my plants this year are not looking great and any plant that can tolerate hot July weather and wants me to forget about watering it, well that's even better! 

I replaced the ugly flowers in my rusty, bottomless bucket with this succulent. It reminds me go aloe vera. 

So when I was out shopping for supplies last week and came across faux succulents, I knew I had to make a bridal bouquet with them! Very rustic, desert wedding, cactus vibe going on. I first envisioned mostly neutral colors, then couldn't help adding in some turquoise roses. 

Vintage ivory lace is tucked among the flowers. This keepsake bouquet can be found in my shop and is ready to ship.

Has the succulent bug bit you yet? I love how they stay pretty and want to be neglected. My only wish was they attracted butterflies and hummingbirds, as I don't have an abundance of colorful blooms to attract them this year. 

A New Year, New Beginnings, and New Bouquets

Ahhh, a new year and new beginnings. It seems that is a common theme for January and this year, I'm excited about new beginnings.

 If you missed my announcement a few weeks back, 2015 finds me full-time, self-employed and so far, I'm loving it! I'm having to learn a new routine and I'm able to work from home in my fleece pajamas (It's 18 degrees as I type.) I'm always thankful for everyone who has supported my dreams and my etsy shop! 

I hope your year is off to a fabulous start. I know many of you are planning your dream wedding right now and I would love to help you. 

After the Christmas holidays, I was inspired to create some new burlap bouquets for my shop. It seems as if a common color theme for January is white and so today I will highlight some of the creamy white bouquets. I love color, although an all white / ivory bridal bouquet has always been very elegant to me, whether in burlap  or fresh  flowers. I'm working on an order now where the bride is carrying an all white bouquet and the rest of the bridal party will have bouquets and boutonnieres with jade and shades of brown burlap roses. (I'll share pics when I finished.)

The first bouquet has a white and oyster (cream) burlap roses and ivory doilies. There is a mixture of vintage and new ivory and white lace throughout the bouquet, giving it a very vintage romance feel. 

Each rose is accented with pearls and a pearl button forms the center of each doily flower. I've had several past customers ask for a thicker style handles for the bouquets and decided to do that with several of the new bouquets. Burlap, vintage lace, and a garland of ribbon roses and pearls are layered over the handle. 

I've also had someone recently ask about long stem bouquets and decided to create this hand-tied, dozen rose bouquet. It has a neutral pallet of cream and tan burlap roses and lace, with pearl accents. The long stem is covered in doily style vintage ribbon. This would be great rustic bouquet for bridesmaids to carry or would make a small bridal arrangement.

The all white sunflower and burlap rose bouquet has always been a favorite among customers and now this bouquet is available for immediate shipping. It has a mixture of white and ivory lace, sunflowers, and white roses. Pearls and diamante style bling pins accent the center of the roses.

I mentioned in December about making these Mason Jar Lights for Christmas gifts and decided to create more  and now you can have one by visiting my etsy shop. I've got one in my glamper right now and love the soft glow. 

Speaking of glamper, I'm ready for the days to warm up and be able to be working in Miss Gussie some more. My little heater in there just can't keep up on these cold, cold days.
