Fabric Pumpkins

When one comes across a gorgeous, fall colored skirt at a garage sale, one may think: will this fit me, what top would go with this or all the places they could wear it? Not me - My immediate thought was gorgeous pumpkins! 

Velvet, rust colored lace, along with other layers of rich colored fabric, described by the lady as "one of my favorite" skirts, I immediately saw the potential. I came home and cut that baby up and made fabric pumpkins and did a little fall decorating. ✂️

I added twine, burlap roses, vintage lace, assorted trim, and sunflowers to them. 

I have this thing for vintage suitcases as well! I found this one recently and couldn't pass it up. Thought it was a great basket for my pumpkins and a mason jar of fall flowers! 

No fabric scrap was left behind - Meet the cute little baby pumpkins! Itsy, bitsy, and oh so cute!

I had some scraps left on the table and I just could not throw them away. This fabric is too pretty to go to waste in the trash. I mean, baby pumpkins, y'all!

I wish you could feel the fabric texture through the screen...

Going to Switzerland

A few weeks ago, I got an etsy message in a language I couldn't read. Thanks to online translators, I found out someone in Switzerland was wanting a rustic bridal bouquet and boutonnière from me. Switzerland! GypsyFarmGirl is going world wide y'all! Well, not me exactly, but my work is going to be a part of a wedding there this winter. 

After a few messages back and forth, we worked out all the details and Maryline ordered a sage green burlap, lace, tulle, and feather bridal bouquet along with a matching burlap boutonnière for the groom.

Today, the bouquets started their trek from East Texas all the across the pond. I found out how to map my sales last week and it's exciting to see that lone little dot in Switzerland! I discovered I've had orders from 44 US states and 3 countries, although this was the first international one to be shipped outside the US.  

Some days, I'm in aww of all the support and many brides who have chose to have me be a part of their special day.

Katelynn's Wedding

Katelynn was a recent customer of my shop and sent me pictures of her burlap and lace country wedding. 

Her bridal bouquet consisted of jade, tan, chocolate brown, and cream burlap roses, lace and pearl accents. 

The bridesmaid carried matching bouquets and the guys all wore jade burlap rose boutonnières. 

I love how hay way used to cover the ground and the country casual atmosphere.

How precious are the flower girls in their boots and dresses?!?  Each one wore a wristlet as well.

Katie and Marc's Burlap and Lace Wedding Pictures

I started working with Katie earlier in the year and she was one of the nicest customers I have worked with through etsy. I'll say again, it has been a blessing working with the wonderful brides through my shop.

Katie carried a turquoise and white burlap and lace bouquet. Her bouquet had whispy white feathers as well. She added a charm with a picture of her cousin to the bouquet. 

The bridesmaids carried medium bouquets of turquoise, tan, and white burlap roses and lace. 

Marc and the groomsmen wore turquoise rose boutonnières. 

Katie tossed a small bouquet to all the single ladies at the wedding reception. 

I enjoyed working with Katie and send my congratulations to the beautiful bride and groom! Wishing you many years of happiness together. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day and sharing your pictures with me.

The Hunt is Over - Camo Wedding Pics

In honor of the opening weekend of deer season, I thought I would share a few pictures from a recent camo, deer hunting, woodsy wedding. 

To all you deer hunters out there, I hope you get your deer soon and the hunt will be over for you! This deer head was a focal point in the reception and a fun place to take pictures. 

The bride carried a bouquet of camouflage, orange, tan, and brown burlap roses and ivory lace. Family heirloom brooches, jewelry, and handkerchiefs were arranged among the roses.

Lots of antlers, cedar, pine and woodsy accents created a very rustic outdoorsy style wedding, even though the wedding was held indoors. 

The bridesmaids carried small versions of the bridal bouquets while the guys wore boutonnières made with a shotgun shell.
