Flowers for The Laminack Wedding

This weekend, I had the privilege of designing flowers for the Laminack Wedding! I think this is my new favorite bridal bouquet! Of course, I've been known to say that before. I love all the different flowers, greenery, and textures involved in the bouquet. They wanted a rich, organic, natural style in shades of burgundy, cream, and green. I was able to work with a few different flowers, that I had never used before, so that was exciting. 

The groom's mother was my high school art teacher and she made the wedding sign. The wedding was at their home and they did a beautiful job with everything.

Boutonnieres 

Bridesmaid bouquets - they carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet, with dahlias, roses, hydrangea, scabiosa flowers and pods, assorted berries, and foliage. I always love a lush and pretty bridesmaids bouquet. 

An un-forecasted rain shower came over the area, as I was loading the flowers to deliver and it rained while I was working on the arch. Thankfully, it was just a light shower and it settled the dust, moved through quickly and the sun came out shortly. They let me use their mule, instead of a ladder and it was great! I had all my flowers handy, a roof for a table top to set my wire and scissors on, and I didn't have to go up and down a ladder one million times!

This Week in the Burlap Factory

Wedding season is in full swing and it's been a busy week in the work shop or the "burlap factory" as it's also known around here. I think the fireworks this weekend were actually celebrating the fact that I had finished this order Saturday afternoon! ;) heehee! It took me most of last week to make everything and was happy to ship them to an excited and nice bride to be today. Breanne's colors for her summer 2016 wedding are Bahama turquoise, tan, brown, white and just a splash of dark plum burlap, along with white lace.

8 flower balls that she will hang from a pergola that they are making, that will be the focal point of their wedding.

I am so thankful for wonderful customers who allow me to design wedding flowers for them and be a part of their special day. I truly appreciate each and everyone of you that support my small business. 

Here's a few other custom orders I have been working on recently -

This navy order shows the 3 main sizes of bouquets I make. The bride chose a small toss bouquet, medium matron of honor arrangement and full size bridal bouquet for her fall wedding. 

This order will be shipping out Wednesday with teal (jade), black and tan burlap rose and white lace for a wedding next week! If at all possible, I try my best to accommodate rush orders, pending I have the supplies on hand and not booked with other rush orders.

This was a custom wedding album for a newlywed couple to hold their 500 wedding and honeymoon pictures.  

This album is on it's way to Hawaii and marks the 46th state that I have shipped to! At this point, I'm kind of like kids on vacation, playing the license plate game and looking forward to crossing those last four states off my list! 

I'm already working towards some fall pieces and sketching out some Christmas ideas, so stay tuned for some new stuff coming soon. So that's what's been happening in the shop. Hope y'all are all having a wonderful summer! 

Happy 4th of July

Turquoise and Yellow Burlap and Lace Weddings

 I recently had two custom orders for turquoise and yellow burlap bouquets. The first wedding was for butter yellow and turquoise bouquets, while the second wedding was a sunnier, brighter yellow burlap with bling and feathers.

 The first bouquet was based on this pink and white bridal bouquet that I made last year, with lots of lace, doilies, bling and pearls, along with burlap roses.

 The bridesmaids carried bouquets of yellow and tan along with turquoise and tan burlap roses and ivory lace.

 The weather was cold and damp, so I set up my photo shoot in the hay barn, using this old sewing machine table.

 This next wedding had several pieces. Here is a group shot of all the sunny yellow and turquoise. It sure cheered me up to work on all the yellow, while it was so cold and dreary outdoors.

 The bridal and toss bouquet had feathers and bling, while the bridesmaid bouquets had pearl accents.

The bride envisioned 2 smaller roses in turquoise and yellow and I helped bring her vision to life for all the men in the wedding party.

 This was on of the wrist corsages from her order. See the chill bumps on my arm? I told you it was cold!

I'm always thankful to work with wonderful customers and wish all the families the best as the prepare for their upcoming wedding and new marriage. 

Jennifer's Navy Burlap and Lace Wedding

I'm always excited to share and feature customer pictures. Jennifer sent me a few pictures from her recent Virginia wedding. She chose navy, tan, and cream burlap and lace bouquets and boutonnieres. 

This has to be the cutest little ring bearer! He is absolutely adorable!

Katelynn's Wedding

Katelynn was a recent customer of my shop and sent me pictures of her burlap and lace country wedding. 

Her bridal bouquet consisted of jade, tan, chocolate brown, and cream burlap roses, lace and pearl accents. 

The bridesmaid carried matching bouquets and the guys all wore jade burlap rose boutonnières. 

I love how hay way used to cover the ground and the country casual atmosphere.

How precious are the flower girls in their boots and dresses?!?  Each one wore a wristlet as well.
