Burlap and Lace Wedding Bouquets

I've worked on several small wedding orders this past week and had fun little mini photo shoots with the bouquets in the glamper and on the farm. 

Rain forced me inside to take completed pictures of the burlap and lace bouquets and I'm so glad it did. Speaking of rain - it has been a fabulous summer with above normal rain and below normal temperatures! The camper has  better natural lighting opposed to inside our house and the shabby decor works right along with the bouquets. 

I played around with the bouquets and several different angles and groupings. The cake plate was one of my favorites. 

This bouquet had a touch of orange thrown in with the turquoise, making me start dreaming about fall!

The ever popular white feather bouquet and matching burlap boutonnière. 

The white feather bouquet was customized and pink and red burlap roses were added for the bridal bouquet, a red rose boutonnière for the groom , and a coordinating cake topper. No rain on the afternoon I photographed this order, so I shot with the barn in the background. 

These romantic colors remind me of Valentines Day.

Pride and Prejudice - Burlap and Book Page Wedding Bouquets

The Pride and Prejudice Wedding Bouquets- 

Morgan sent me a request through my etsy shop for burlap wedding bouquets, only she wanted more doily type fabric in her bouquet and pages from the Jane Austen novel, Pride and Prejudice. 

I customized her order with navy, rustic red, tan, and cream burlap roses with pearl accents. Vintage doilies were tucked among the bouquets and pages from the novel were used among the flowers. 

In each bouquet, I tried to include the title of the book and the authors name, so that each person carrying the bouquets would be able to know the significance of the pages.  

Small bridesmaids bouquets only had red, tan, and cream burlap roses, as the bridesmaids are to wear navy dresses. 

Morgan also requested two stretchy lace bands with coordinating flowers for their dogs!

I tried to get my dog to model for me, but she wasn't the most cooperative! I got the "mom, really?" look and "no, I'm not looking at the camera" poses from her. Hopefully, Morgan's dogs are more excited about being a part of the wedding day festivities. 

Wristlets for the mothers and grandmothers also included the option to be pinned on if they wanted to. 

Other than trying to get the title in the bouquets, I didn't pay attention to the words on the pages. As I finished this wristlet, I realized the leaf said "her mother". Purely coincidental, although I mentioned it to the bride and she said she would make sure her mother received the wristlet to wear.

Now I have a confession, I've never read Pride and Prejudice. I wished I would have taken the time to read the book, before I ripped the pages out and worked them into the wedding bouquets. How about you? Have you read the book?

Sisters on the Fly and Glamper Update

Some days I don't know what to say or where to start...someone recently ask about my camper restoration, so here's what's happening. I joined Sisters on the Fly! I got my membership packet in the mail a couple of weeks ago and I'm Sister #4922. 

I got this cute mason jar welcome sign from one of my Instagram friends @kristywalters (Country Soul). 

The camper door was u-g-l-y, and had layers peeling up. My solution- staple turquoise burlap over it! I found the metal silver trim at Hobby Lobby. They consider it ribbon and it was 40% off! I was able to staple it over the burlap as well. 

Everything is better with mason jars, right? I found this string of cute lights at Bealls. They were 40% off, plus I had an additional 20% off coupon. I love a good sale! 

I keep adding layers to this curtain. I can't seem to figure out when to stop. I printed out some of my favorite inspirational #rhonnadesign pictures I've shared on Instagram and hung as a banner. 

My girls love to go camping with me! One of the main rules of SOTF is no dogs- these two will be upset if I hit the open road without them. 

The next biggest makeover project is painting the outside of Ms Gussie. Hopefully that will happen this fall. Oh, and seeing this picture reminds me- I finally got a title for the camper! I was told she had a clear title when I bought her. Turns out, it wasn't. Here's a helpful hint- don't sign and date a title in 2009 and never transfer the title to your name. I had to get a bonded title and then learned there were a few other options that could have been pursued.  Long story short, I got the run around from the TXDMV, but I know how it all works now. The bonded title process wasn't as difficult as I was led to believe, and all worked out fine. 

So that's what's been happening with my glamper this summer and now I'm ready to go camping again.
