Brenda Photo Challene - Spring!

This weeks Brenda Photo Challenge is SPRING! Spring is my favorite time of year!
Some bluebonnets bloom in yards in my hometown, although they are in very limited supply. I have always wanted to see the large fields of Texas Bluebonnets and wildflowers blooming in central part of the state and recently was able to make two day trips to the Ennis, TX area to travel the Bluebonnet Trails. (Our truck broke down on the first trip and we got to go back the next week to finish travelling the trails.) We enjoyed getting to see the beautiful landscapes and fields of wildflowers.
This is an Indian Paintbrush that is growing in our pasture. I took this photo before we ventured out on our trip.

A Hillside of Bluebonnets and a few Indian Paintbrushes.

Trixie made both trips with us and enjoyed getting to sniff out the Bluebonnets at the Meadowview Park. The park was very calm with only one other couple there, so she was able to run free for a few minutes as we enjoyed the sounds of the lake and view of the wildflowers.

Another hillside of bluebonnets.

This valley was absolutely stunning. Farmall Man said "it looked like something out of the Bible".

Hope you enjoyed my spring wildflower pictures and that y'all have a wonderful weekend!
(To see more of our trip, check out my previous post!)

  5. Sorry I'm so late in getting around to checking out your entry for the challenge. I'm way behind on things. The bluebonnets are gorgeous. Make for a really pretty hillside. I remember indian paint brushes from when I was a kid. We used to pick them from the field that was next to my house.
