Hello Summer!

Hello Summer! Today marks the official first day of summer, although its felt like summer for a while now. Any who... we are celebrating summer's arrival and the arrival of some new items in my shop!

Summer is all about sweet tea - sprinklers - chasin lightning bugs & daydreams - guitar nights under twinklin stars - sunshine - flip flops - porch sittin - back roadin - and dancin with the one you love.

I was printing and transferring the images to fabric this week and Jeff said "what if you could make a wrap fit a Mason jar?" Hmm, let me check on that...Summer is all about sweet tea - sprinklers - chasin lightning bugs & daydreams - guitar nights under twinklin stars - sunshine - flip flops - porch sittin - back roadin - and dancin with the one you love.
Well guess what? With the addition of one extra strip of Velcro, the same wrap will fit a quart jar or a 30 ounce tumbler! Pretty cool, right?!? Versatile and fun - because while we love ice tea in Mason jars, hot summers require stainless steel tumblers, if we are going to have cold beverages in our cup for any length of time! Plus the tumbler fits in our cup holder while on the road. Seriously, I don't leave home without my tumbler full of ice water or tea, my purse, and my planner notebook. The three must haves!

Here's my favorite place to drink tea, daydream, listen to the sprinklers, watch for lightning bugs, and do a little porch sittin'!

I printed a few large images and created patches for a couple of denim shirts and vest. I am very tempted to keep this first one for myself! I love the cut of this vest plus it has pockets and I've got a pink sleeveless shirt and turquoise jewelry that would so match this! For the moment it is online, unless I change my mind!

There's also a larger version of the Summer graphic on a distressed denim shirt.

All of these items are in my etsy shop and can be shipped or I'll take any available to the next Mineola Antique Fair on July 13-14.

So tell me - what's your favorite thing about summer???

Spring + Love at Uniques and Antiques

It's a new year and time for a little update to our Uniques and Antiques booth in Mineola, Texas.

Some Valentine love and springy items arrived today... Because we are anxiously awaiting spring and need some color in our lives!

So this wooden calendar reminds me of the old church bulletin boards were Sunday School attendance was recorded! ALL of the months and letters are there, in a little bag. I knew if they were all on the calendar and with my luck, I would go to get the calendar off the wall and all the numbers would fall on the floor, behind the desk in our booth. So calamity avoided, bundle together in a little drawstring bag.
Valentine wreath with primitive style heart and pip berries, white hydrangeas and a single red rose.
The Gone Junkin' tumbler wraps have been a hit, but now your Yeti wants to have a Valentine makeover! Show it some love, with a new sleeve! (Several in stock at the booth and lots more coming online as soon as I can get them photographed and listed.)
When I follow my heart, it leads me to you pillow with a shabby heart with wings.
A little French Country Love...
Angea aka Rooster Tails have a ton of fun working on items for our booth and our road trips to Mineola! We had a board meeting at The Jalapeno Tree and did a little junkin on our way home this afternoon and found more treasures to makeover for our booth!

Pssst, don't forget to look behind the wall - there's furniture, signs, bags, and more goodies once you look around!
A pastel spring twiggy wreath, with a birdhouse.
Oh forsythia, you brighten the wall with your yellow blooms and we can't wait to see you blooming in yards!

All of the above items are currently available at Uniques and Antiques - 124 S. Line St. Mineola, Texas. Angea and I thank you for shopping with us and supporting local, small handmade businesses!

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,
I really, really, really need a turquoise or red vintage truck to pull my glamper.
I promise, I've been a good girl this year.

The crown is optional on the truck, but we would be sure have fun junkin' and glamping with a crown on our truck...

 Red truck...

turquoise truck, I won't be picky...

If you can't wrap it up, that's ok,

you can just park it by Miss Gussie and we will both be so happy.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
Love,
Janice and Miss Gussie

P.S. All the above items are available in my shop and you can use coupon code HAPPYGLAMPING to save $5 off a $20 or more purchase. Same or next business day shipping on all ready made items and I can include a gift note, if you want it shipped directly to the recipient.
