You Might Live in a Farm House if...

We came home from the farm today and Jeff said "You might live in a farmhouse if..."

There's tools from doctoring cows in the kitchen (I'll spare ya the exact details or phrase he used.) 

To which I added - There's muddy boots laying around 

Or cattle cubes are the only Black Friday Christmas shopping you do and random pieces find their way to jacket pockets and eventually make it to the bar in the kitchen! 

Yep, true story - the donkeys like to eat  cubes out of my hand, so I had a few in my pocket for them and one made its way home and on the bar! 

And sweet little baby calves make you happy!

We've been patiently waiting for a few cows to have babies this year. Recently I reminded them that my birthday was coming and they should give my a baby for my birthday! Well, this little shuga love came this week and he's such a cutie! Wouldn't you agree?!?

Preview of New Items in Time for Yamboree

It's Yamboree week! We've been working for months, creating lots of new items for our booth this week! Loading of the trailers has begun, so I've been taking lots of pictures as I head out the door with everything. Here's a preview of some of the things we will have available, starting on Thursday: 

Introducing Yeti / Ozark Trails / whatever brand you might have, tumbler wraps! I doubted these cups for a long time and certainly didn't pay for the name brand one, but I now use it daily and love it. This is my cup and I keep a fun wrap on it all the time and it really does keep my drink cold for a long time. This is my Gone Junkin' one, with turquoise fringe. 

There's going to be 20 and 30 ounce size cup wraps available in a variety of patterns, so your tumbler will stick out in the crowd! You may notice, the 30 ounce size will also fit on some jar candles for a decorative touch.

We will also be offering Build Your Own Gift Baskets for Livestock Buyers Appreciation Gifts. We know the long hours and hard work that has gone into everyone's livestock projects and the nerves and anticipation as show time approaches.  

We wish you all the best of luck and hope your hard work pays off. Come see us and pick out a basket and fill it up with  different items from our booth and then we will wrap it up for you. 

There will be things like fabric pumpkins, wooden signs, give thanks frames, chicken and rabbit coasters, pig signs and mini chalkboards, cattle and western pillow covers. Angea and her son have made lots of Texas wooden signs and key holders and I know all you Aggies at the livestock barns will love the Aggie items she has! 

These farmhouse signs could make a great thank you gifts as well. 

Between Angea and I, we have produced a large assortment of pumpkins! 

Always stay humble and kind and give thanks. 

Have I mentioned Texas size hair bows? 

I've had a few request lately for big hair bows and will have several on headbands or barrettes to choose from. 

We've got the cactus, wanderlust, boho, gypsy line, with bright colors and fun new pieces.  

We will have approximately 150+ repurposed clothing items to choose from! The cold front passing through this week, will be just right for flannel shirts and denim jackets! How cute would the little gypsies be, with these kids sized distressed flannels and a pair of fringe moccasins?!?

Gone Junkin' 

Start gathering your Christmas decorations and gifts now! We will both have an assortment of Christmas wreaths - from rustic country, rope wreaths to traditional styles. 

I have lots of burlap stockings and I can't wait to see the French country stockings Angea has made!

Of course, we will have truck and glamper pillows and some will have Christmas trees. 

I love tiered trays and Angea's make me swoon, with their upcycled kitchen items! 

Seriously, together we have SO much fun junk! We can't wait to see it all displayed together and for y'all to come see what all we've been working on. Our booth will be located on the tennis courts, just north of the blue building at the Yamboree fair grounds. 

Pillow Talk!

Can we have a little pillow talk?

I've been busy the last couple of weeks working on some new items for my etsy shop. I have created some new pillow covers in several different styles from rustic country to shabby chic french farmhouse and elegant gold. I had a big photoshoot yesterday and all the items are now available in my shop. All the pillow covers are made to fit an 18 by 18 inch pillow form.

You can also see a glimpse of some of the other new products! I took over 200 pictures yesterday and listed nearly 4o new items in my shop, including the rope wreaths, buntings, bouquets, and ankle boots. 

I live and work in a small home. I see people complain that their second home / weekend house is only 1000 square foot and think to myself how much I could do with 1000 sq ft! Storing lots of pillows is hard for me to do, so I thought I couldn't be the only one. You can easily transform the look of your existing pillows by slipping the covers over them. No need to go hide that pillow in the closet or behind the couch when you want to change them out for a different look. The covers have an envelope style back, like a pillow sham for your 18 inch pillows. They can easily be stored in a closet or drawer if you decide to change them out seasonally and being lightweight, they will ship more economically than bulky boxes. 

I have a couple of the damask print pillows on my couch now and a matching curtain in the living room. I thought of the colors as rustic red and tan until I read the fabric description online. They call it tan, taupe, coral and peach damask. How would you describe it? The damask fabric coordinates will with the elegant gold pillow with fringe and the rag wreath. The wreath has tan, gold, white, and damask print fabric, along with tan burlap and white and ivory vintage lace. Get the wreath and the pillow covers will ship for just 25 cents each!

 Faux leather and turquoise fringe for your rustic country home! I always pick out fabrics that I like. I could pull off any of these looks in my living room. I guess thats why I like more neutral colors in my house, so that I can change a look by adding pillows or decorations.

New Lariat Rope and Fall Wreaths

"Howdy!"

I've been working on several new western rope wreaths and a some new fall wreaths lately. 

or maybe you say "Welcome." 

I usually say Howdy or Hey (hey, maybe that's an idea for another wreath!) These two wreaths have a hand painted sign and an assortment of greenery and feathers. Pretty neutral in color and can be displayed year round on your door or wall. 

 This lasso has deep burgundy red peonies along with assorted greenery and a burlap bow. It can even be hung with the arrangement on the right side or turned to the bottom of the wreath. This wreath could also be used year round in your farmhouse - reds a great color that matches lots of holidays.

 This is a pink rope wreath for any fun loving cowgirl! Pink roses, green hydrangeas, burlap and raffia ribbon and greenery are included, along with the Cowgirl sign (can be removed, if unwanted.)

I've also made several fall themed wreaths. I love the fall colors and think they can be very elegant and pretty. This first rope wreath has sunflowers, rusty orange peonies, cattails, red daisies, fern, ivy, eucalyptus. among other greeneries and foliage. 

Red sunflowers and yellow sundaisies are the focal point of this lariat rope. 

 I'm always happy to make fall stuff - maybe its because I love sunflowers and all the different textures and colors. I know it's still July, but our creek is lined with gorgeous cattails, willow trees, solidago, and so many unique grasses and yellow wildflowers and they really inspired me to get to making fall pieces.  I took these next two grapevine wreaths out in the pasture, along the creek to take their pictures. 

This wreath has a sunflower shaped chalkboard sign that can be personalized. I wrote "Welcome Y'all", but you could customize it with your name, Happy Fall, Harvest Greetings, Happy Birthday, really anything you wish. Would even be  great back to school decorations for a classroom! 

All about the texture - lotus pods, grapevine balls, pheasant feathers, cattails, fall leaves, sunflowers, mums, daisies and berries. Ahhh, I think I'm ready for fall! How about you? 

All wreaths are ready to ship and can be found in my etsy shop. Thanks to a friend who found me a large lot of ropes at a recent sale, I'll have ropes to make wreaths for a while! Any certain colors, sign choices, or flowers you would like to see on a wreath? 

Oh, and there's also a couple of Christmas ropes available for Christmas in July!

 I'll definitely be making more Cowboy Christmas wreaths this year!
