Inspire

Inspiration is everywhere. I'm inspired by so many others that I have mentioned before, things I see, places I go, ideas that are passed along from others, etc. 

I've never really felt like I'm that inspiring to others, I'm just ordinary me... There was a fellow vendor at the Yamboree this year. She came by and wanted to look inside my camper and we visited a little while. She had been thinking about getting her own camper to travel to shows, as a means to support her family. Her friends discouraged her and told her she wouldn't do it. 

The next day, we met in the walkway, and she brought tears to my eyes. She said you don't realize how inspiring you are to me. You give me a new outlook and determination for my business. The camper she had looked at, had already sold, but she's looking for her another one. I wish I got her name and contact info. If you're reading this, please contact me and let me know what's going on. I meant to come by your booth on Saturday and it just didn't happen. I hope we meet again and your setting up your camper! 

We live our ordinary lives and don't realize how we can have an impact on others. Be an encouraging friend, not a discourager. In a world full of negativity, be the happy.

October 2016!

Wow, what a month October was!

Thank you to EVERYONE, who made this such a fun month!

From Miss Gussie, my glamper being in Mary Jane's Farm, special FarmGirl DIY Issue to being on the Junk Gypsy book launch team (#thejgblt forever) and road tripping with Sharlette

to the book signing and getting to meet Amie and Jolie at The Pink Pistol.

And then there was the #yamboree2016

with Angea aka Rooster Tails

 and Jeff (hand him your phone, to take our picture and ya get a selfie instead!)

 helping out and putting up with all my crazy shenanigans and the two of them about killing me with their "what not to recycle" bit. I survived and somehow manage to not spew pie out my nose, but I'm not sure how!

Don't know what I'd do without Jeff

or all of y'all who came out to support our handmade business

And ride away on pink zebra stick horses 

and the ones who let me be a part of your weddings,

special events, 

and shop my etsy store.

Also, thanks to Brenna (our niece)

and Lisa (my sister in law and second cousin - we are cousins, who married brothers!)

for helping at the Yamboree. I've got the best tribe

and I'm forever grateful for all of of YOU!!!

And how could I forget my excitement when I found this full length leather coat for 25¢ while out Junkin'. No, that's not a typo - one quarter, 25 pennies, that's all it was and I love it!

Yamboree, Day 3

Yamboree, Day 3 - Saturday 

We really do have a lot of fun working with Angea and setting up our space! 

Jeff came each morning to help us open up the tents, rearrange furniture, and take some of our pictures. He decided that Angea's scarecrow needed to ride my hobby horse! Lol

Each morning, we changed stuff up and rearranged stuff. 

One customer saw my picture collage on the door and thought I had met some of the guys from Duck Dynasty, but I had to explain that was my husband in the pictures and he had started growing that beard, BEFORE the Duck Dynasty show was a household name. Seriously, he did! At first, I didn't like it and he got weird looks when we were together. Then all of a sudden, these girls at the grocery and feed store would start being in awe and wanting to reach out and touch it. That's when we heard about these Robertson people on tv. We don't have cable, so we hadn't seen it yet. 

Our attempt at a selfie and someone always has to make a funny face and looks like those corn shocks are Indian feathers coming out of his headband! 

Jeff was talking to another vendor and he was like man, y'all are so cool and another said we have the most fun in our booth! We also heard several saying we had the best booth there! 

My neice, Brenna, came to help out, during the Saturday rush. We appreciate you coming to help us!

At times, it was busy and we were unable to speak to everyone who came by and we do apologize for that, but we thank you all for coming to see us and shopping our handmade and recycled, upcycled, repurposed items. 

Then, all of a sudden, it was over, we packed up, and the country roads took us home, once again. We are tired today (Sunday) and trying to catch up on some rest. Tomorrow, it's back to work in the wedding shop and trying to get new items listed in my store. 

We can't say it enough, we are grateful and thankful for each and everyone who comes by, who shops, or shares about our events! We enjoy getting to meet and visit with y'all! Thanks for being a part of our tribe!
