Spring Countdown

19 days till the official first day of spring! Can I get a big Yeeeehaaaaw?

It really has started looking like spring this week: I have seen several tulip trees, Bradford pears, and elms starting to bloom. Some grass is starting to grow and the spring weeds are making am appearance, lawn mowers are getting ready to be fired up!

The sun was shining bright today and it felt so nice outside. We took an outside break at work to soak up a little sunshine this afternoon. I'm off tomorrow and hope that the weather is just as nice as today-I need a whole day to be outside doing whatever I want to do!

Thunderstorms came and went in the dark of the night. This was the view from the east as I went to feed Moe this morning. I thought it was beautiful.

Brenda Photo Challenge - Red

The theme for this weeks Brenda Photo Challenge is RED.

Around here, we love our Farmall Tractors! I have fond memories of Farmalls and earned my very first paycheck driving a red tractor when I was 11 years old! A few years later I meet my husband to be and he grew up on red tractors as well and today we have quite the collection on Farmall tractors.

 

This is a red cactus that my sweet mother-in-law gave me a few weeks ago.

This cardinal was stunned from his recent crash into our front door and gathered his scenses sitting in the snow. Its hard to believe that we had snow just a few short weeks ago and today the daffodils and some trees are starting to bloom. I hope we don't see any more white stuff for a loooong time!
