So much has changed since I blogged last…
I was a vendor inside Nan’s Place in Gilmer, Texas, when I was presented with the opportunity to purchase the store in the fall of 2023. We changed the name to Rockin’ E Mercantile and open on November 13, 2023. The store is located in our hometown and features local makers and curators carry apparel, floral arrangements, gifts and so much more. We average around 16-18 local vendors and have a custom tee shirt bar in store + ready made shirts and apparel, a children’s section, plants and fresh flowers, food and dip mixes, coffee, sheets, home and yard decor, locally made crochet, antiques, laundry soap, locally made goats milk soap, jewelry, beatable pens and keychains, candles, personal care items, seasonings, vanilla, funny socks, and the list goes on and forever changes.
So a few things have changed since I took over the store. Last year (2024), I put my Etsy shop on vacation mode and stopped making burlap and lace wedding bouquets. This summer (2025) I closed my GypsyFarmGirl website and opened our Rockin’ E Mercantile website. Our new website syncs with our store computer system, so it makes inventory management much easier. While we do fresh and artificial floral arrangements, we are no longer making the burlap wedding bouquets.
