Small Business Saturday - Free Gift with Purchase!

Today is Small Business Saturday! I'm thankful for each and every person who supports small businesses, not just today, but ALL year long. A few years ago, I never dreamed this small business would become my full time job.

As we celebrated Thanksgiving this week and look forward to the Christmas season, I have been reflecting on this year. It's been almost a year, that GypsyFarmGirl  has been my full time gig.  Wow!

I really didn't know what to expect when I left my job at the flower shop. Jeff halfway expected me to have a part time job of some sort, within a few months. I never really knew if I could work from home all the time and like it, but it was a chance I had to take. My motto for the year has been "Rope your Dreams" and it's been a great year and I have to give credit to all those who support small business and shop online. My handmade creations are all over the USA and travelled to several foreign countries! We've even set up a few times with my glamper and got to meet customers locally and I've done some freelance floral design work as well.

My shop has expanded to offer more home decor and gift items this year, as I've had more time to be creative. When I worked a separate full time job, it was all I could do to keep up with wedding orders and I didn't have time to develop the ideas that were constantly running in the back of my mind.
I ramble on with all this to say THANK YOU for allowing me to be creative and supporting my small business and dreams! I have THE BEST CUSTOMERS!

All orders today will receive a free gift with purchase, as a token of my appreciation! I've got Christmas ornaments, gift sacks, or t-shirts that will be added in with your packages! No coupon needed!

Dream BIG, my friends, they just might come true!

A Rustic Christmas - Gift and Decor Ideas!

Have yourself a Merry Little Rustic Christmas! Several new items just hit my etsy shop this week, including new Christmas decor and many giftable items!

Burlap stockings and pillows
The heart with wings pillows and the "What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you Fly? e.h." pillows have been restocked, along with a couple new cross pillows.
There are burlap stockings that are customizable, with either a  red burlap, lace, plaid or camouflage ribbon sash

I had one customer tell me she was going to tie duck calls or shotgun shells in with the sash and another was on the search for wooden initials to personalize the stockings.

I found a couple more rope wreaths that I had not listed in my shop, so they are now available as well!

I love this Sleigh Centerpiece, filled with red poinsettias, berries, holly, pinecones and Christmas greenery, along with gold ornaments and ribbon. While I love to mix it up and do other colors for Christmas, you just can't go wrong with the traditional red and gold!

I couldn't help it!

Saturday, when we were packing up from the open house event, I couldn't help but get a picture of the Christmas tree in the back of my truck!

I mean, especially after making all the vintage truck and camper pillows! If only I had a vintage truck to pull my glamper!
Here's a look at our booth. It was cold and windy Saturday and we got our first frost Saturday night, so we are thankful to everyone who braved the cold front and came out to shop! Fortunately we were on the south side of the building and had some wind break and got inside Miss Gussie to warm up between customers.

Also, a shout out to Jeff for being a part of the road crew and making sure our setup didn't fly away! Can you spot him camoflauged in the booth as he was strapping down everything? Angea from Rooster Tails had an assortment of signs, wooden decor, and Christmas items this event as well.

'Twas a good day and fun event! No more pop up shows are scheduled for the winter, so I'm looking forward to having a little fun with the camper! Seems like I've been packing and loading stuff since August and I want to snuggle down  in my cozy bed and catch up on my shows, even if it's just in the yard!
I started putting up my Christmas decor today. So much cuter than last year, since she has a paint job and awning! There's still more to come and I'll be sure to share when completed.
Here's a peek at some of the new items I'm uploading to my etsy shop now! Be sure and sign up for my newsletter to get in on the Black Friday, small business Saturday and Cyber Monday sales!

Getting Ready for Open House!

Deep down inside, I really wish I had a vintage truck to pull my camper! Wouldn't that be cool? Last week, I had a Facebook fan ask about a vintage Christmas truck pillow, to go along with the glamper.  I woke up the next morning and it was all I could think about, so I went straight to drawing a pattern and then to sewing. This is her order that will be delivered this week, but here's a little secret, I have more and they will be available Saturday at the Starry Nights Art Studio Open House!

We are loading our camper with all kinds of decor and gift ideas for Saturday's show. We will be set up with Gussie and she will be gussied up and open for you to come in and see her.

Lots of new pillows will be available, including wings, campers, crosses, and some with quotes. I've got a couple new photo albums available as well. Print out pictures and fill the albums for a very personal gift!

I've got several new dream catchers with lots of vintage lace and feathers.

I was 99% sure I had 2 new white Christmas trees in my storage building. I decorated one and went back to get the other one and I can't find it. It's driving me bonkers, so I guess that 1% is right and I only had 1 white tree. It's a small table or desk top tree that is decorated with handmade burlap and lace flowers, pearls and ornaments. Oh, so shabby chic! Now, if that other tree would miarcously appear, I'd be tickled!

We are getting excited about setting up again and still putting the finishing touches on a few more items, including some Christmas centerpieces and lamps, so I don't have them photographed yet.

The sewing machine has been busy sewing new stockings as well. I'll have a big box of ribbon on hand for customizing the sashes on the stockings or for making Christmas tree bows.

So here's the fine details:

Hope you can come see us! For all you too far to come, all the new items that do not sell Saturday, will be available next week in my etsy shop!

Open House Event at Starry Nights Art Studio and Vintage Rose Venues

I'm excited to formally announce that I will be set up with my glamper boutique at the Starry Nights Studio and Vintage Rose Venues Christmas Open House Event!

The art studio is ran by Kelly Laminack, who was my high school art teacher. She stopped by our booth at the Yamboree last month and insisted that we be a part of their open house event! The studio is located in a historic old bank building in the Rosewood community and she host painting parties and the venue is available for birthday parties, wedding or babies showers and the such. I attended a surprise birthday party there over the summer and it's a very neat place and they have it decorated oh so shabby vintage.

So we have jumped head first into Christmas mode and been creating new items for my shop and the show. Here's a small sampling of the stockings, arrangements and wreaths I've been making.

Also, I'm working on restocking the glamper pillow and tote bag line as well! These items are all currently available in my etsy shop and I'm waiting on a shipment of pillow forms and I'll have more glamper pillows ready soon.

Angea from Rooster Tails will also be joining us with some of her handmade items! We hope that you can come visit and shop with us at their open house! Beat the holiday rush and shop the week before Thanksgiving and you can get new Christmas decor in time to decorate on Black Friday and gifts ready to go under the tree!
